Vascular deserts, regions without vascular providers, previously described targets for limb salvage efforts. The Comprehensive Heart and Multidisciplinary Limb Preservation Outreach Networks (CHAMPIONS) programs targeted regions for outreach and evaluated the population using desert maps.
