Advancing vascular health through research, collaboration, and patient partnership

The Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures supports research and innovation that can improve the lives of people affected by vascular disease.

We fund promising research, partner with investigators and patients to address important gaps in vascular health, support the development of the next generation of physician-scientists, and convene leaders from across healthcare, research, industry, and the patient community to accelerate progress.

Across this work, we prioritize research that is patient-centered, collaborative, and positioned to translate new knowledge into better prevention, care, and outcomes.

We bring together patients, clinicians, researchers, funders, industry, and other leaders to identify shared priorities, build collaborations, and accelerate solutions to unmet needs in vascular health.

Vascular disease affects millions of people, yet significant gaps remain in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, access to care, and the evidence needed to improve outcomes.

Vascular Cures focuses on areas where research, collaboration, and patient insight can help address those gaps.

Research priorities
Research Priorities

Our priorities include:

  • Patient-centered research that incorporates the experiences, priorities, and needs of patients and caregivers

  • Emerging and underexplored areas of vascular health where new evidence has the potential to improve care

  • Prevention and implementation research that helps translate knowledge into practical approaches for communities and healthcare settings

  • Health equity and access to better understand and address disparities in vascular health

  • Early-career investigator development to strengthen the future vascular research workforce

  • Patient and community engagement that ensures research questions and outcomes reflect what matters to the people affected

Research Funding Opportunities

Vascular Cures has supported innovative vascular research and emerging investigators for more than four decades.

Convening for Innovation

Our Vascular Health Innovation Summits are one-day gatherings of experts from across disciplines and backgrounds to discuss emerging science and innovation that has the potential to change patient lives in the near term. Patients and caregivers are always part of the conversations. Our Summits are held about once a year.

Want to be part of the change?

Our summits are by invitation only.
