Patrick Chong, MBBS, FRCS

Patrick Chong is Clinical Lead and Head of the Regional Vascular Unit at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. He serves on the Specialist Interest Group for Diabetic Foot Care for the Vascular Society of GB and Ireland and chairs the Tri-Counties Diabetic Foot Symposium. He is Clinical Director of the West Surrey and North Hampshire National AAA screening programme. He is a panel member of the Surgical Training Committee (STC) for Vascular Surgery in Health Education England Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

He is actively involved in Clinical Research and has served as PI for the IMPROVE, EVRA, BASIL-2, BASIL-3 trials and currently the EVOCC trial. He is co-editor of Management of Diabetic Foot Complications (2nd Ed). His clinical and research interests are in PAD, CLTI and Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Care. He has served on the Council of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET) as Chair of the Education Committee and as Vascular Research Lead for NIHR Clinical Research Networks for Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.
