Vascular Heroes – Dr. Lyssa Ochoa and Staff at The San Antonio Vascular and Endovascular Clinic (The SAVE Clinic)

By: Vascular Cures Team

Vascular Surgeon Dr. Lyssa Ochoa, founder of the SAVE Clinic, and her dedicated staff work hard to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient-centered vascular healthcare to underserved areas of San Antonio where diabetes-related amputations occur in rates up to 3 times higher than the statewide rate.

This summer the SAVE staff opened the only ambulatory surgery center in South San Antonio to bring even more services to an area of the city that needs more access to quality healthcare.

Dr. Ochoa has partnered with a variety of organizations to develop amputation prevention programs. She is also involved in clinical research studies and mentors local high school, college, and medical students as well as rotating residents.
