Katherine Yin
Volunteer, UC Berkeley
Katherine is a rising senior at UC Berkeley studying Nutrition and Metabolic Biology and Molecular and Cell Biology. She is very excited to continue her involvement at Vascular Cures, where she has been volunteering for community outreach initiatives and patient-centered research for peripheral artery disease. She is grateful to be able to use her bilingual skills to help address gaps within Chinese-speaking communities. Katherine is committed to spreading disease awareness, advancing community health education, and encouraging long-term health habits. She hopes to help Vascular Cures continue establishing strong links between clinical research and patient care, creating a continuous cycle where learning from patients' lived experiences drives scientific discovery, equipping healthcare providers to achieve the most fitting care for patients. In the future, she aspires to become a physician and pursue a career to help increase healthcare accessibility and uplift patients!
