Peter Schneider, MD is a leading vascular surgeon and Professor of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He has extensive expertise in treating complex vascular conditions, including carotid artery disease, diabetic vascular disease, and thoracic aortic aneurysms, and is recognized for his work in advancing both open and minimally invasive approaches. Dr. Schneider consults with start-ups and medical device innovators to bring new technologies from concept to patient care. Previously, he was the Founding Chief of the Vascular Surgery Division at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, where he developed programs for diabetic limb treatment, carotid surveillance, and aneurysm management. He earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, completed his general surgery residency, and pursued a vascular surgery fellowship at UCSF.
